Fly For 12,500 Miles One-Way From Kauai to Certain Cities via Air France Program

September 2, 2015 By Leana 1 Comment

Just wanted to give a quick heads up on a deal I’ve stumbled upon. It appears that certain routes from Kauai to Mainland (not the other way) are currently pricing out at 12,500 miles one-way via Air France program. The flights are on Delta. I don’t know if it’s a fluke or how long it will last.

I checked a couple of routes, and there are quite a few dates where you can fly from Kauai to New York or Boston for only 12,500 miles one-way. There may be other cities available. It appears this pricing is available through the beginning of March.

You may want to check your route/dates and see what comes up. Florida wasn’t part of this “sale.”Also, I didn’t see this price for other Hawaiian islands, just Kauai, but once agin, check to make sure.

The biggest advantage, of course, is that you can redeem points for one-way ticket. Air France miles transfer instantly from Membership Rewards. You should try to call and put awards on hold first, just in case. Getting an account with Air France is free and will only take a few minutes to set up. If you have Citi Thank You currency and a premium card like Prestige or Premier, you can ask the agent to put your award on hold and then transfer the points, which shouldn’t take longer than a few days.
