July 22, 2025 By Nancy 6 Comments

A black and white image of a dog sitting indoors, looking out through a glass door. The dog has a dark coat with a white patch on its neck and face. The room has a tiled floor and wooden furniture in the background. The lighting creates a soft contrast, highlighting the dog's profile.

2025 is a year full of new and updated premium credit cards with high annual fees offset by various credits. The Chase Sapphire Reserve just got a major revamp, and Amex Platinum changes are coming later this year. Next week, Citi is launching the new Citi Strata Elite. I’m not a major fan of these […]

July 18, 2025 By Leana 4 Comments

The image is a screenshot of an Air France account activity overview. It shows a total of 74,153 miles, with 73,153 miles valid until October 23, 2025, and 1,000 miles valid until July 18, 2027. The account has 0 XP. There is a note indicating that it can take a couple of weeks for activities to appear in the overview. Below, there are details of "Capital One Regular Miles" with +1,000 miles and +0 XP dated July 18, 2025, and "Surplus XP available on the XP counter" with +0 miles and +0 XP dated November 1, 2024. The Air France logo and navigation options are visible at the top, and the website URL is shown at the bottom.

Oh No, I Didn’t! Another 2025 Trip Booked

July 17, 2025 By Nancy 4 Comments

A wooden pier extends over a calm lake, leading towards two large, green mountains in the background. The sky is overcast, and the water reflects the mountains and sky, creating a serene and peaceful scene.

Yes, I did. I booked another trip for later this year using miles. I couldn’t help myself. The destination: Guatemala, Central America. In college, I spent a summer and winter in Guatemala. Most of my time was in Quetzaltenango and San Lucas Toliman (on the side of Lake Atitlan). But I also visited Guatemala City, […]

a hand holding money on fire

When it comes to paying huge annual fees on credit cards, I always tend to err on conservative side as far as perks/coupons are concerned. Priority Pass can be useful, but only if you actually fly. Monthly Uber (and Uber Eats) credit is relatively easy to use, but the company may stop serving my area […]
