More Cards with 100k Bonus Offers!

April 18, 2025 By Nancy Leave a Comment

I’m loving all of these recent elevated credit card welcome offers! While the increased offers on the Chase Sapphire Preferred card (see this post) and the Capital One Venture Rewards card are still the best offers for newbies, there are more cards worth considering for free travel if you already have those cards.

100k Welcome Bonus on British Airways, Aer Lingus and Iberia Cards

Chase’s Avios-earning credit cards now have 100,000 bonus Avios after spending $7500 in the first 6 months. Non-affiliate links through each airline’s webpage:

British Airways Visa Signature Card

Aer Lingus Visa Signature Card

Iberia Visa Signature Card

  • 100,000 bonus Avios after spending $7500 in the first 6 months
  • 3X on British Airways, Aer Lingus and Iberia purchases
  • 2X on hotels
  • 1X on all other purchases
  • No foreign transaction fees
  • $95 annual fee

These offers are available through May 17, 2025. Note that these are higher than the “regular” Chase links offered through Chase’s website.

You cannot get the bonus if you’ve received the bonus on the card in the last 24 months. Chase likely won’t approve you for a card if you’ve opened 5 or more new cards in the past 24 months. See this page for more info.

Several reasons why this is a great offer:

  • You can transfer Avios among programs (see 8 Reasons to Transfer Avios to Another Program)
  • The bonus to minimum spend ratio is good (100k Avios only requires $1250 in spend per month for 6 months)
  • Using Avios for Iberia flights is a great way to fly from USA to Europe at a reasonable award price

Unfortunately, my husband and I are both currently at 5/24, so we’re not eligible for these cards right now. But if I was eligible, I’d jump on this offer!
