Southwest Just Cut Your Frequent Flyer Points By Two-Thirds—Without Warning: Travelers will now earn fewer points on Wanna Get Away fares. See this post on Danny the Deal Guru and more commentary on View From the Wing. This change has sparked outrage in the miles and points community this week. However, it doesn’t affect my family that much. The majority of our flights on Southwest have been from using points from credit card rewards, not butt-in-seat mileage earning. I see this affecting frequent business travelers a lot.
