Higher 60k Bonus on Virgin Red Mastercard: The Virgin Red Rewards Mastercard (non-affiliate link) now has a higher bonus of 60,000 points after spending $3000 in the first 90 days. The previous bonus was 40,000 points. You can get an additional 10,000 points if you add 4 authorized users. Use these points for Virgin flights, Virgin hotels and Virgin cruises. This isn’t a card I’d recommend for new hobbyists, but rather for people who are running out of new cards to get. See this post on Miles to Memories.
Why I Speculatively Transfer Points During Transfer Bonuses: I frequently tell people not to transfer points speculatively if you don’t see award space, but in some cases it might make sense. See this post on Award Wallet for why Ian makes speculative transfers.
EVA Air Launches New Premium Economy on Boeing 787 Fleet: I’m a big fan of flying in Premium Economy on long international flights, and I plan to write more about it next week. EVA Air just added some Premium Economy seats and I’m delighted. See this post on One Mile at a Time.
Capital One Transfers to JetBlue Again: Capital One re-added JetBlue as a transfer partner, but the transfer ratio isn’t the best. See this post on nerdwallet for more details.
I hope you’re having warmer weather than I’m having here in Texas. Enjoy your weekend!
