August 2024 Transfer Bonuses

It’s a new month, and there are new transfer bonuses! One of the best ways to maximize free travel with miles and points is to transfer flexible points to travel partners when there is a transfer bonus. I don’t recommend transferring unless you see an award available to book.

Amex 30% Transfer Bonus to Avios

For now through September 30, 2024, American Express has a 30% transfer bonus to Aer Lingus, British Airways and Iberia. You can transfer Avios among these three programs plus transfer to Qatar and Finnair. I’ve used Iberia Plus Avios a few times in the past year to fly on business class to Europe, which is as low as 34k from Chicago and the East Coast.

Amex 20% Transfer Bonus to Hawaiian Airlines

From now through August 31, 2024, get 20% transfer bonus when you transfer Amex Membership Rewards to Hawaiian Airlines. The best use of Hawaiian miles is flying on Hawaiian Airlines metal to Hawaii, although saver awards are hard to find.

Capital One 20% Transfer bonus to Qantas

From now through September 1, 2024, get 20% transfer bonus from Capital One to Qantas. This is the first time Capital One has offered a transfer bonus to Qantas. You can use Qantas miles to fly on partner American Airlines.

Chase 70% Transfer Bonus to Marriott

Get 70% Bonus Marriott Bonvoy points when you transfer Ultimate Rewards points between 12:00 AM ET on August 1, 2024 and 11:59 PM ET on August 14, 2024. This is the highest transfer bonus from Chase to Marriott that I’ve seen. If you need more Marriott points  to top off your account for an award stay, this is your chance.

CITI 25% TRANSFER BONUS TO FLYING BLUE

From now through August 17, 2024, get a 25% transfer bonus from Citi to Air France/KLM Flying Blue. I’ve used Flying Blue miles to book flights to and from Europe in business and economy classes over the last few years.

CITI 20% TRANSFER BONUS TO WYNDHAM

From now through August 17, 2024, get a 20% transfer bonus from Citi to Wyndham Rewards.
