We try to be transparent about how this blog (our small business) makes money. We’ve posted about this subject before, but the short version is that we make money from ad revenue (page views/blog traffic) and credit card affiliate links.
As you know, the miles and points hobby is constantly changing, and the blogging world is no exception. Chase recently changed some guidelines for how affiliates can earn money, and unfortunately, this change is not good for the “little guys” like us who don’t have large numbers signing up for credit cards every month. As of today, we will no longer have affiliate links for Chase cards.
The good news is that our blog posts will now show the full text instead of just an excerpt in emails and in blog feeds. The bad news is that we will be making less money.
We still have affiliate links for most other credit cards here. If you find yourself wanting to support Miles For Family when you apply for your next Chase card, please consider signing up under one of our personal referral links listed under the menu Credit Cards—>Apply for Credit Cards at the top of the blog. We will not earn money, but some cards will give us miles or points for referring others.
The reality is that this blog is not a big money maker for me and Leana. But still, we have no intention of quitting because we love writing about travel and helping others realize their travel dreams.

- If you decide to get a new credit card, use our credit card affiliate links or our Chase personal referral links instead of applying directly through the bank or instead of Googling for an application link.

- Share our posts with your friends and family!
- Comment on our posts with your thoughts and questions.
