It’s only been a few months since my husband received is new Bilt credit card (see this post). We’ve already trained ourselves to save some bills to pay on the first of each month to earn double points on Bilt’s Rent Day. But at the end of each month, I excitedly anticipate what the Rent Day promotion will be for the next month. Will it be a huge transfer bonus like in the past? Please! But admittedly, the past few Rent Day promotions have fallen a bit flat for travel enthusiasts like me.
Bilt Rent Day May 2024 Benefits
The big promotion for May 2024 Rent Day is this:
Redeem your points for rent and get 100% of your points back to spend on Bilt Home Collection products. You must spend between 1000 and 50,000 points on your rent that will come back as a credit for the Bilt Home Collection that you can use for 6 months. You can see all the details here.
Of course, the usual double points earning applies on May 1, 2024:
- 6X points on dining
- 4X points on travel
- 2X points on all other purchases (except rent, which is 1X)
Why I’m Not Super Excited About May Rent Day
For starters, I don’t have any rent to pay yet. My son’s apartment lease doesn’t start until August. But even if I did have rent to pay, I would not be excited about getting points to spend on the Bilt Home Collection.
I was really hoping to see a big transfer bonus for Rent Day like Bilt has had in the past. Previous transfer bonuses include Air Canada Aeroplan, Air France/KLM Flying Blue, Virgin, IHG, Emirates and Hawaiian Airlines.
What transfer bonus would make me the most excited? Hyatt, of course! Even a 10% bonus would be great. But I’d also settle for a bonus to British Airways, Aer Lingus, Iberia, American or Alaska Airlines. C’mon, Bilt! Throw us travel enthusiasts a bone. Here’s hoping for June.
