More Perks to Chase Sapphire Cards: From One Mile at a Time, Chase just added some new temporary perks to the Chase Sapphire Reserve and Chase Sapphire Preferred cards. For both cards, users can now use points for statement credits on dining, groceries and home improvement stores (instead of just for travel). The CSR’s $550 fee is temporarily reduced to $450 (yay!) and the $300 travel credit can also be used for gas and groceries. Also, see this post on Miles to Memories for more insight on cashing out with these new perks. I’m excited about these temporary perks!
Travel-themed Masks: This post from Your Mileage May Vary showcases some fun travel-themed masks. If masks stay around long enough, eventually people will want to move on from plain colors, right?
Southwest Extends Schedule through January 4, 2021: From Running With Miles, Southwest has extended its schedule to include Thanksgiving and Christmas travel dates. The great thing about Southwest is that you can always get your points back if you cancel an award flight. Will you be flying over the holidays?
Cello Can’t Earn Miles: This is an interesting post from The Gate about a cellist who tried unsuccessfully to earn miles for his cello’s seat. RIP, Mr. Harrell.

I just cashed out some points. With 5 of us I can’t bring myself to spend that many points on premium cabin redemptions. Being able to turn URs into cash at 1.5cpp is huge.

@projectx Yay! Glad you’re able to use the new benefits.
