My husband owns the no-fee Bilt credit card (personal referral link). Our motivation for finally getting this card was to earn points on paying our son’s college apartment rent. Unlike most credit cards we get, this card doesn’t have a welcome bonus. However, some new card owners receive an offer for 5X on spending for the first 5 days of the card. My husband got that offer, and we were able to initially earn 50k points by timing our spending strategically.
You don’t have to have the Bilt credit card to participate in Bilt Rewards program. You can earn Bilt points by paying rent, dining at certain restaurants, using Lyft, and more.
Every 1st of the month, Bilt celebrates “Rent Day” by giving double points for credit card purchases on that day only:
- 6X on dining
- 4X on travel
- 2X on all other purchases
You can only earn a maximum of 1000 bonus points each month. Rent Day typically consists of other promotions, including transfer bonuses or more ways to earn Bilt points.
March 2025 Bilt Rent Day Promotions
It’s almost March 1, and Bilt just announced Rent Day promotions.
- Up to 200% transfer bonus to Hilton Honors program. Wow, that’s huge! Blue Bilt Rewards members get a 150% transfer bonus, while all other Bilt status tiers get a 200% transfer bonus. For every 1000 Bilt Rewards points, you get 3000 Hilton Honors points.
- Up to 100% bonus on rent credit when you pay your rent with Bilt points
- Neighborhood comedy and dining experiences for points
- Redeem points for How to Win at Travel book by The Points Guy Brian Kelly
- Free fitness classes
- Chance at winning a month’s free rent by playing Play Rent Free game
Will I be transferring any points to Hilton during this promotion? Definitely not. I’m saving miles and points for flights to St. Maarten and Europe in 2026. But if you need a few extra Hilton Honors points to get an award stay, this is a good opportunity.
What do you think of Bilt’s March 2025 Rent Day promotions?

Hi Nancy. I am still debating if I should get this card or not. I am applying for several cards next month but I need to work on my SUB ( I can pay rent with credit card with a small fee). My monthly expenses are not super high so I have to tap on my rent payment to clear the SUB. Maybe when I ran out of SUB I can apply for this card to pay rent. There are several stores in my neighborhood part of the Bilt Network and I am waiting for my landlord to join Bilt as well.
