So yes, this is a tight window. You have three days to book the flight(s), 3 weeks to travel, and only 6 weeks of the Companion Pass in the fall. But, if you are planning a trip during that late August/September timeframe, this deal could be worth it.

Unfortunately, flights booked with Southwest Rapid Rewards points do not count for this promotion. The fine print on the registration page also clarifies a few restrictions, such as:

Flights booked before the April 3-5, 2023 window do not count towards the promo
Any changes made to your flight that push it outside the promo window would disqualify you from the Companion Pass
