When it comes to award flights, often it’s the early bird that catches the worm. And that seems to be the case for the Thanksgiving holiday week.
AA Web Special Awards
I booked my family nonstop flights to Chicago during Thanksgiving on AA for 10,500 miles each. I was surprised to see that low rate available all week, even the day before Thanksgiving!
I checked on other routes from DFW and found more examples of low prices. DFW to LGA for 8500 miles!
DFW to LAX for 7500 miles!
Note that some of these flights can also be booked on partner airlines (like British Airways), some for fewer miles depending on routes.

I recommend searching on BA’s site first before transferring points. You can transfer points from American Express, Chase, Capital One and Marriott to British Airways.

@Hal I didn’t notice that but I love the Burbank airport, and I’d fly in there any day over LAX. So much less traffic. 🙂
