On my recent trip to Singapore and Thailand with my daughter, we had a 24-hour layover in Singapore before heading to Thailand. Originally, I was going to book an airport hotel and just explore the famous Jewel mall of the airport. But as our trip approached, I decided we should “go big or go home” and see as much of Singapore as we could. So instead, I booked us one night at Andaz Singapore.
Booking and Arrival
To book a free night, we transferred points from Bilt to World of Hyatt. Our date cost 25,000 points. Definitely not one of my cheaper award stays!
Our long 17-hour flight to Singapore landed in the early evening. To hit the easy button, I booked a private car airport transport on Klook (affiliate link). The driver met us at the terminal exit with a sign, and I was thankful for the efficiency that gave us over waiting for a taxi.
The drive to Andaz Singapore was about 25 minutes.

On the ground floor of the building, there is a small sitting area:
The main lobby is on the 25th floor.

There was a sunroom with fruit-induced water and snacks:
Our check-in was quick. The desk agent made sure to point out all of the hotel activities:
However, due to our 24-hour stay in the city, we had no time to even think about those hotel activities. We headed to our room to drop off our luggage.
Our Room at Andaz Singapore
We booked a standard room with two twin beds and city view. The room was quite spacious with a table and sitting area as well:
The large bathroom had separate rooms for the toilet and shower:
The mini-bar had a variety of free non-alcoholic drinks and snacks:
We only had maybe a total of 8 hours in our room, and most of that was sleeping. The beds were comfortable, and we have no complaints!
Mr. Stork Rooftop Bar
The highlight of Andaz Singapore for me was Mr. Stork Rooftop Bar. It’s on the 38th floor and has 360-degree views of Singapore. After I dropped off our luggage in the room, I spent some time taking in all the views.
There were tents with seating scattered around the roof:
Since it was late and I knew I needed to get some sleep, I didn’t feel like food or drink. But I did spend about an hour just soaking up the views and atmosphere.
Pool with a View
The outdoor pool is on the 25th floor and also has some fantastic views, both day and night:
There was also a nearby fitness center.
Food at Andaz Singapore
Due to our short stay, we didn’t eat at any of the 5 hotel restaurants. In the morning, we stopped by the coffee bar in the lobby to grab a croissant before we headed out for our city exploration. Bugis shopping street is within walking distance of Andaz Singapore, which has a ton of food options as well.
Overall Thoughts
I’m glad we splurged on one night at Andaz Singapore. The hotel brought us closer to our next-day adventures and provided outstanding views of the city. Unfortunately, standard rooms only fit a maximum of 2 people, so this hotel is not ideal for larger families unless you can splurge on a suite or 2 rooms, which gets pricey in both points and cash. However, if I return to Singapore as a group of 2, I wouldn’t hesitate to splurge on Andaz Singapore again.
