Finding cheap flights to Europe during fall and spring months isn’t usually all that difficult. So, when I heard about special sale on Norse Airways for that time period, I basically shrugged. Sure, the price of $149 one-way is pretty good. But it’s not spectacular, especially considering the fact that it’s valid only for their cheapest fares that don’t include luggage or meals. Plus, Norse Atlantic Airways isn’t yet a well-known airline, so there is some risk involved in booking it. It looks like they also fly from London to Cape Town, with prices starting at $340 each way.
But then I did some searches and was surprised to find out that you can pay as little as $149 to fly from JFK to Rome or Paris this July and August. Keep in mind that flights from Europe to USA appear to cost more than $149, at least on the few dates I’ve checked.
Still, that’s noteworthy! If you’ve been procrastinating when it comes to booking your summer flights to Europe, this may just be the ticket. If buying Economy Light (no meal, and only a personal item included) is a no-go, Economy Classic is still a pretty good deal. Again, for summer period.
I’m not familiar with Norse Airways, so can’t comment on it. However, for this price I would certainly be willing to take a chance. It doesn’t look like Norse Airways is listed on Capital One or Chase travel portals, so using points won’t be an option, except to erase charges after the purchase posts.
Happy hunting!
