Review: The Cutest Beachview Airbnb in Port Canaveral

March 29, 2023 By Nancy 1 Comment

Earlier this month, before our cruise on the Disney Wish, my family stayed in Port Canaveral for two nights prior to the cruise. I really wanted to eat dinner at Fish Lips and watch the cruise ships float by on at least one of the days before we sailed.

Unfortunately, even using points, nearby hotels in Port Canaveral and Cocoa Beach were running high for a family of five during spring break weeks. So, I turned to Airbnb.

Santina’s Ocean View Guest House

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this Ocean View Guest House on Airbnb open for our dates. With all fees included, it cost us around $500 for the two nights.

The house is actually a small guest house behind the main house. The main house is beachfront, but this guest house is not.

We could see the beach from the kitchen and bathroom windows.

The kids’ room had 3 twin beds (2 regular twins and one trundle). It also had its own tv.

The house had a small kitchen and living room area.

We shared the one bathroom.

My husband and I stayed in the bedroom with the queen bed.

Outside, there was a lounge area with games.

To get to the beach, we simply had to walk back down the driveway and over the short public walkway.

The house had beach chairs, umbrellas and toys.

The house is still very close to Port Canaveral, and we could see the cruise ships sail away from the beach.

Pros and Cons of this Rental

Pros:

  • Great location close to beach and cruise port
  • Plenty of parking
  • Price–good value for spring break
  • Size–fits a family of five comfortably
  • Well-appointed with kitchen and beach supplies

Cons:

  • The main door through the house is through the kids’ room
  • No washing machine
  • Only one bathroom
  • Size might be too small for longer stays

Bottom Line

For our 2-night pre-cruise stay, this rental was a great fit. Because it’s still a small space and it doesn’t have a washer/dryer, I wouldn’t stay here with my family of five for an entire week. But for a weekend stay, it’s almost perfect!
