CSP 80k Offer Still Available

I don’t write a ton of posts about credit cards, nor do I routinely post about the “last chance” to grab a certain offer. But, I’m making an exception for this card because it’s the #1 card I recommend to friends and family.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred card (affiliate link) still has an 80,000 sign-up bonus after spending $4000 in the first three months. The annual fee of $95 is not waived, but the card comes with a $50 grocery credit, effectively making the first-year annual fee $45. The bonus points are worth around $1000 in free travel, depending on how you spend them. I wrote a post about this card back in March.

The card earns 2X points on dining and travel and 1X points on all other purchases. The card is subject to Chase’s 5/24 rule. You can’t get the sign-up bonus if you’ve received it on any Chase Sapphire card within the past 48 months (see more info here).

Why the CSP?

One word: options. With Chase Ultimate Rewards points, you aren’t confined to just one airline or hotel program. You have options.

You can use the Chase travel portal to book flights and hotels. Or, you can transfer the points to travel partners like Hyatt, Southwest and United.

My family uses Chase Ultimate Rewards points often. In fact, we’ve been saving a stash to transfer them to United to book flights to Europe for a big trip next summer.

In the past, we’ve frequently transferred Chase points to Southwest for flights and to Hyatt for hotel stays. Some of our favorites include Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Florida and Hyatt Regency Lost Pines in Texas.
