Southwest Airlines Announces More Destinations: From Points, Miles and Martinis, Southwest recently announced it will start serving Colorado Springs (Colorado), Savannah (Georgia) and Jackson (Mississippi). Southwest had already announced its expansion into Chicago O’Hare, Houston Bush Intercontinental, Miami, Palm Springs and Telluride.
Spirit Airlines Launches New Frequent Flyer Program: See all the details on View From the Wing. I’ve had good luck with Spirit, but in their old program the miles expired after 90 days. In the new program, miles will expire after 12 months. Unfortunately, Spirit cut some flights from my home airport, but maybe they will come back.
