100,000 Points for Timeshare Tour: Check out this post on Miles to Memories that outlines how you can get 100,000 Hilton Honors points for paying $349 for a 4-night stay including a timeshare tour. The offer is good in Orlando and Las Vegas. According to the comments, you might be able to negotiate even more points over the phone. If I had more available vacation time, I’d be tempted to go for this.
Worst View on the Cruise: This is an interesting read about a cruise guest who paid for a guaranteed ocean view cabin and got an obstructed view. Should she have received a refund? Obstructed views are somewhat common on cruise ships and are usually priced cheaper. If she was an inexperienced cruiser, she probably wasn’t aware of that. Her travel agent should have warned her about possible obstructions. But, I’m guilty of not reading all the fine print on everything. I hope she was able to enjoy the views from up on deck.
Why Should You Keep a Discontinued Credit Card?: I thought this post from Your Mileage May Vary was interesting. I still own the discontinued Chase Ink Plus, and there’s no way I’m giving it up.
Is Jet Lag Worse Going East or West?: This is an interesting post by Family Flys Free on Travel Update. Maybe this explains why we didn’t experience much jet lag when we flew to Australia last summer.
Aspen Ski Trip Gone Wrong: I follow Mommy Points on Instagram, so I saw her Insta-stories about this horrific trip. But, here is the blog post that lays out everything that went wrong. This is the kind of trip that would make non-travelers swear off traveling for good.
Enjoy your weekend!
