Update: the link has died. Congrats to all who applied in time.
This is a quick post to let you know that the 20,000 points sign-up offer on The Blue Business Plus Amex has been removed from affiliate channels. To be clear, the card itself is still available, it just no longer comes with any sign-up bonus. I guess Amex has decided that this product is good enough to stand on its own, without any “sweetener” added to it.
I honestly have no idea how much longer it will be around, but if you are thinking about applying, I wouldn’t wait too long. Some people have reportedly got a targeted offer with a bonus that is valid through August, but there is no guarantee that you will get it in the future.
A few additional thoughts:
1) Make sure to read my post where I compare this card to Amex SPG.
2) While getting 20,000 MR points is obviously preferable to not getting anything at all, will signing up for this offer cause you to forego other expiring deals that I’ve mentioned in my yesterday’s post? After all, in order to get the bonus, you’ll have to commit to spending $3,000 in 3 months, and that’s a substantial amount.
3) If you like to accumulate MR points via everyday spending, you may as well pull the trigger. Well, assuming you have a legitimate business, that is. I think this card is a must for anyone who values Membership Rewards points. So, might as well get it with the bonus attached, especially if you’ve been thinking about applying soon.
4) I don’t think foregoing this offer is the end of the world. If for some reason you can’t sign up right now, you will lose 20K points. Sure, it stinks, but it’s not that big of an amount. Plus, who knows, Amex may bring back this offer in the future.
Readers, who is pulling the trigger on this one?

I got it a few weeks ago through your link
Leana says
@HML Thanks, as always! It’s a good product for MR lovers, no doubt about it.

I got it. Couldn’t pass up 2MR/dollar combined with Schwab plat redeeming of $0.0125 for cash. 2.5% redemption if I decide to cash out! 😉
Leana says
@David T Congrats! That is a winning combination, for sure.
David T says
Thanks! I hate to use MR for cash but as I told you previously, a 6 hour drive with 3 young children to the nearest airport is out. Sometimes cash is King! 😉
Leana says
@David T Absolutely! In fact, cash is usually king for me. I wouldn’t feel bad redeeming MR points at 1.25 cents apiece.
David T says
I suspect you are one of very few that would agree with me on that! 😉
