Price Mistake: All-Inclusive Resort in Dominican Republic for only $28 Per Night for Two People

September 20, 2016 By Leana 8 Comments

This one probably won’t last, and buying airfare just to get “free” food won’t make sense for most people. However, it looks like you can currently take advantage of a spectacular deal on all-inclusive Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort & Spa  It’s valid through December, but not all dates return the lowest pricing.

I checked Thanksgiving week on Travelocity, and it shows up as bookable:

travelocity

Be aware, once you put in two children, the rate goes up to $173 per night, at least it did for me. So, you will be better off booking two rooms. As you can see, there is free cancellation, so you are not risking anything. You may want to wait a bit before booking non-refundable airfare, in case Travelocity decides not to honor the price. Let me know if you decide to book it.

I know this blog is called MilesForFamily, but sometimes I wish we were young and childless without any obligations and could do stuff like this. Kids complicate because they do cost extra and you have school schedules to think about . What a great deal, but we can’t do it this time. Sigh.

@Jennifer I couldn’t agree with you more! Except for the young part. I’m still young, darn it! 🙂

I got $18 per night in November – 1 child, 1 adult – but No, I am not going.

@Hilary Makes perfect sense! Airfare kills the deal for most normal folks. Even award tickets can be problematic due to high government taxes. Still, hopefully, someone will find this beneficial.

@Emily You can just book it and look at your schedule some more. It appears the rate is refundable. Of course, nothing wrong with letting it go.

This is a great resort that runs specials a lot. I know several people who have been there and loved it.

Thanks for letting me know, Emily! This is a great deal, and I would probably consider it myself. Unfortunately, we have too many plans already. 🙁
