Update: The offer is still listed on US Airways website. It should be around through at least January 18th. I have a referral that will give me 5,000 miles. Email me if interested.
I really debated on whether to write this post, as I don’t want to spread panic. Today, my cousin-in-law tried to apply through my affiliate link and couldn’t find this card listed on that site. I’ve looked at other affiliate blogs, and none of them appear to have the affiliate link either.
What it usually means is that the offer is being pulled, and affiliates are the first to know about it. I don’t get notified on it anymore as I don’t have direct links, but my relative’s experience has confirmed it. The US Airways site still lists the 50,000 miles bonus. So my advice to you is to apply for it while you still can.
I don’t think this card is going away tomorrow, but what may happen is that the sign-up bonus will be reduced to 40,000 miles. I want to stress that I don’t have any insider information, this is pure speculation on my part. I don’t make any commission on it right now, but thought it would be the honest thing to do to let my readers know. It may return to my affiliate site in the future, but the offer may be reduced. That’s why I wrote the post. As always, do what works for your situation.

I really didn’t want any more cards right now since my husband and I each got 2 new cards in November…but we decided to roll the dice with this one and we both got approved! I think I might be addicted to this sport.

Nancy, congratulations! I think you’ll be happy you did when these miles get rolled into AAdvantage.

Thanks for the heads up Leana. Got approved for myself. Husband’s is pending.

@Jennifer No problem. The offer is still there, but not sure for how long.

I was just approved for my husband and myself. I usually don’t like to open new cards, but this deal was too good to pass up. Now to plan a destination…

Amy, congratulations! It is most certainly too good to pass up.
