Should you buy stuff just to get this bonus?

I wasn’t sure, if I should post this. After all , If you are an AAdvantage member, you probably already saw it in your inbox. But in case you missed it, here it is. Get 2000 miles after a 35 dollar minimum purchase through AAdvantage mall till September 30th.  Though some got an offer for only 1000 miles.

If  you need to top off an account, this could be worth it, if you don’t need the miles immediately.  Otherwise, I wouldn’t purchase junk  just to get this bonus.  But since I value AAdvantage mile at 1.04 cents, that’s like getting over  20 dollar discount. Pretty good. So if you need to buy something anyway, go for it. This is most likely the best bang for your buck right now.
