Triple Dipping, Busted in the Bahamas and More

December 12, 2025 By Nancy 6 Comments

It’s Triple Dip Time! This post on Travel on Points explains the math behind triple dipping on a new credit card you open in December. In theory, this can be done with any card that offers benefits that renew with the calendar year (instead of cardmember year).

@Russ All the best to you as well! Can’t complain, as life is (overall) good. Constantly dreaming of travel and using my points in the most efficient manner possible. Got plans to hopefully visit Africa in 1.5 years, so accumulating miles towards that goal. A new continent!

@Russ Thanks for checking on me! 😉 I’m doing well. Just a lot going on with kids, work and helping my aging MIL. I didn’t really want to make any announcements, but it looks like I’m done with blogging for the foreseeable future. I do occasionally post short travel updates on our Facebook page if you feel inclined to follow it. Hope you are doing well, as well as your family in Germany.
