Not Just For Old People: Get AARP Membership for As Low As $5.40/year

December 1, 2025 By Nancy 1 Comment

Two years ago, I joined AARP during a Black Friday sale. With the $45 5-year membership sale combined with a $30 cash back offer from Capital One Shopping, I paid only $15 for a 5-year membership (or $3/year).

This year, AARP has another Black Friday sale through 12/9/25. If you combine it with other promos, you can get a 5-year membership for as low as $27 or $5.40 per year. Still a great deal!

AARP Black Friday Deal

Currently, AARP has a Black Friday sale for $11/year for a 5-year membership ($55 total):

If you go through Rakuten cash back shopping portal (my referral link), you get $20 cash back on an AARP 5-year membership.

And finally, if you have a Chase credit card, you may have a Chase offer for $8 cash back from  AARP (offer good through 12/2/25):

Why Get an AARP Membership?

Discounts galore! And you don’t have to be old; the minimum age of membership is 18.

My family likes to eat at Outback Steakhouse a few times a year. My AARP card gets us 10% off our check each time. I’ve also used the AARP discount on hotels and car rentals.

Other benefits include discounts on British Airways round-trip tickets, on-board credit with Holland America Cruise Line and $40 off a Walmart+ membership. See all benefits here.

Just as an FYI, Capital One is NOT a cash back portal – it provides a selection of gift cards which may or may not be useful. Rakuten is either cash back (NOTE after 90 days) or American Express membership rewards (also in quarterly instalments)
