Yesterday, I posted about the newly launched Alaska Airlines premium credit card, Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite Credit Card (non-affiliate link). ICYMI, see this post from yesterday.
My husband applied for the card, and he was instantly approved!
His stats:
5/24 (he’s opened 5 new cards in the past 24 months)
1/12 (he’s opened 1 new card in the past 12 months)
FICO score: 800+
BoA History: He currently owns the Ascent Visa Signature Card (i.e. the “old” Alaska card which now has a $95 annual fee) and he has owned the Air France/KLM Flying Blue card in the past.
Approvals seem to be mixed for this new card. You can check out this reddit thread to see other data points of approvals and denials. Bank of America appears to be more sensitive to the number of inquiries in the past 12 months.
What About Player 2?
Well, I guess technically I’m Player 2 now since he was approved for this card first. I do plan to apply for the Atmos Rewards Summit card, but I need to wait. Since the minimum spend to get the bonus is $6000 in the first 90 days, my family can’t responsibly handle spending double that for two cards in that time period.
I hope that this offer is around for at least a few months. My stats are similar to my husband’s stats, except I currently own 2 Bank of America credit cards.
Let me know in the comments if you plan to apply for this card or if you were approved/denied.
