Barclays is Losing American Airlines Credit Cards: The big news from yesterday is that Citi will be the exclusive provider of American Airlines credit cards starting in 2026. See the press release here. Currently, Barclays and Citi both have AA credit cards, and you can have both. The assumption is that eventually AA will become a transfer partner of Citi ThankYou points. If you live near an AA hub and don’t already have an AA Barclays card (non-affiliate link), I do think it’s a good idea to get it before it’s discontinued. But, no rush. See this post on Travel On Points for more commentary.
Chase and Amex Add new Transfer Bonuses for December: Since I published the December 2024 transfer bonuses post, banks have added a few more: Chase 20% bonus to Air Canada Aeroplan, Chase 20% bonus to Air France/KLM Flying Blue, Chase 70% bonus to IHG, Amex 25% bonus to JetBlue. See the updated December 2024 Transfer Bonuses post for the full list.
First Cruise Line to Offer Dog-Friendly Cruise: I love dogs, but I don’t think this one is for me. See this post on Your Mileage May Vary.
Hyatt Now Allows Confirming Suite And Club Lounge Upgrades Online And In-App: This is big news for Globalists. See this post on View From the Wing.
