Alaska Airlines Overhauls Mileage Plan: Alaska Airlines announced a host of beneficial changes to its loyalty program. I’m not likely to ever have Alaska Airlines status, but the most exciting change I see is that miles from award flights (even on partner airlines) will count toward status. See this post on View From the Wing.
Virgin Voyages Status Match From Other Cruise Loyalty Tiers Through December 31, 2024: Who doesn’t love a status match? I was initially really excited about this status match, but the catch is that you must have a Virgin Voyages cruise booked. See this post on Loyalty Lobby for all the details.
New Chase Transfer Bonus: From now through 11:59PM EST on November 30 2024, get 40% bonus when transferring Chase Ultimate Rewards to Virgin Atlantic. This is the highest transfer bonus we’ve seen from Chase to Virgin Atlantic. Starting in November, Virgin Atlantic is moving to dynamic award pricing. So, peak travel award flights will most likely cost more. I’ve updated the October 2024 Transfer Bonuses post.
Time is Running Out to get Hawaiian Airlines Credit Cards: According to this post on View From the Wing, the Barclays Hawaiian Airlines credit cards will be discontinued soon. And, the ability to transfer Hawaiian Airlines miles to other members will go away. Currently, you can apply for these credit cards and transfer the miles to Alaska Airlines. If you’ve been thinking about getting a Hawaiian Airlines card for the bonus miles, I recommend applying soon.
Enjoy your weekend!
