Many of us have seen photos and videos of the devastation from Hurricane Helene and feel compelled to help. I received an email today from American Airlines with an incentive to donate to the American Red Cross:
Earn 10 AAdvantage bonus miles for every $1 donated to the Red Cross, minimum donation of $25, through October 18, 2024. See this link.
I would only do this if you were planning to donate to Hurricane Helene victims anyway. This is not a cost-effective way to “buy” AA miles, as you can buy them cheaper on on AA’s website. But if you feel moved to donate to the Red Cross, you may as well get some miles with your donation.
