Review: Neptuno Lounge via Priority Pass at MAD Terminal 4S

March 26, 2024 By Nancy Leave a Comment

On our way home from Portugal, we had a 3-hour layover in Madrid. Since we were flying in Premium Economy and Economy, we did not have lounge privileges through our tickets. We decided to use our Priority Pass memberships (from our Capital One Venture X cards) to enter Neptuno Lounge.

Location and Arrival

Neptuno Lounge is located on the second floor of Terminal 4S (Satellite) in Madrid (MAD) airport. This is the terminal where many flights to the U.S. leave.

We had to take an airport train from our previous terminal to Terminal 4S. Once we got off the train, we spotted signs for Neptuno Lounge. It was easy to find.

When we arrived, there was a line of about 15 people waiting to get in. I was worried that the lounge would close due to overcapacity. But, the line moved fairly quickly. Our priority pass memberships entitled us to bring in one guest for free, so my husband and I were able to get our 2 kids in with us (our oldest child was not on this trip due to being away at college).

Neptuno Lounge

This lounge is huge, and it has great views. There are multiple seating options.

Around the corner from the entrance there are a few semi-private rooms. They were empty, so we grabbed one to camp out for a few hours. It was nice to have the large table!

The lounge had showers available as well as this dark sleeping room (no one was inside when I took this photo):

Food and Drinks

Neptuno Lounge had a wide array of drinks in glass bottles (with bottle openers nearby). My son was excited to drink a Sprite, since nowhere in Portugal seemed to have Sprite.

Alcoholic drinks were available, but I cannot comment on them since we didn’t partake.

When we arrived in late morning, the food offering was fairly sparse. There was some bread, cheese and cold cuts.

This refrigerator had juices and ready-made items:

But after an hour, hot lunch food started to arrive. Soup, meat dishes and vegetarian dishes (I didn’t try any, but my son said they were good):

More breads and desserts also appeared:

Between the breads, hot food and ready-made food in the refrigerator, it was impossible to leave hungry.

Overall Thoughts

We enjoyed our time at Neptuno Lounge, and I’m thankful that our Priority Pass memberships from our Capital One Venture X cards enabled us to enter for free. It was nice to be able to spread out and enjoy free food and drinks during our long layover in Madrid.
