Greetings! I hope everyone is enjoying this holiday season with relaxation and in the company of loved ones.
While most people are still digesting holiday dinners, there’s also an excitement in the air. Today is a good time to dream about travel and plan for a future trip!
Why now is the best time
We’re in one of those weird weeks of the year that often leaves people with unscheduled time.
- Students are off school
- College kids are home for winter break
- Some businesses are shut down for the week
- Many people take work PTO between Christmas and New Year’s Day
Plus, on top of that, families often see extended family members during this week. And, if your family is anything like mine, the subject of travel comes up.
Dreaming/Planning vs. Traveling
For me, dreaming and planning a trip is always just as fun as taking the actual trip itself. I realize that planning travel can stress some people out. But, if you’re one of those people, stick to the dreaming and destination discussion, and leave the actual planning to someone else.
If you are dreaming about future travel this week, don’t forget that miles and points from credit cards can help you achieve travel at a highly discounted cost. When you can fly for almost free using miles and points, most destinations are within reach.
Let the travel planning begin!

Also, outbound Thanksgiving flight schedules for many airlines opens up this week.
Not that I’m counting the days or anything. 🙂
