Alaska Airlines/Hawaiian Airlines Merger: By now, you’ve probably heard that Alaska Airlines is trying to buy Hawaiian Airlines. It’s hard for me to get excited about this because it may not get approved, and even if it does, it’s still 12-18 months in the future. Here’s a take on it from View From the Wing.

LifeMiles Offering 115% Mileage Transfer Bonus: Avianca LifeMiles program is offering a 115% bonus when you transfer your miles to another member. Don’t get too excited–you have to pay to transfer miles to someone else. But in some cases, it could be a good way to get more miles at a decent price. See this post on One Mile at a Time.

The Big Gamble With Holland America’s New $50 Per Night Cruise Offer – Is it Worth it?: This is an intriguing concept by Holland America for last-minute cruise deals. See this post on Frequent Floaters. Using miles and points to book cancellable flights and hotels does make the deal more attractive

New Chase Transfer Bonus: Chase just announced a 20% transfer bonus to Aeroplan through 1/15/24. I added it to my existing post on December transfer bonuses. Note that if you have the Chase Aeroplan card, you can get another 10% bonus on top of that if you transfer 50k or more points.
