I always put travel-related items on my wish list, and over the years I’ve received many gifts that complement my love of travel. If you need inspiration on what to get your favorite travel-lover, here are some of my favorite items I’ve received. Note: None of these are affiliate links.
Disney Hardshell Suitcase
I love my Minnie Mouse hardshell suitcases. I have the 21-inch carryon and a larger size. One of the reasons I love these so much is that the design is unique and easy to identify on the luggage carousel (unless I’m flying to Orlando!). I also love hardshell suitcases because my clothes don’t get wet when they are sitting outside waiting to be loaded on an airplane or cruise ship.
Travel Backpack
Last year, I received this Nordace Sienna Smart Backpack, and it’s made such a difference for me! It has so many compartments, and I can pack more stuff in this and stay organized. This is my go-to carry-on for short trips.
Noise-canceling Headphones
Wearing noise-canceling headphones on our 17-hour flight to Australia helped us actually get sleep! My last few international flights have been in business class and came with provided noise-cancelling headphones. But, next summer, I will be on a long-haul flight in economy, and you can bet I’ll be bringing my own.
Rick Steves’ Travel Books
I supposed I’m considered old-school, but I love reading actual travel books on top of looking at websites. I’ve loved all of the Rick Steves travel books I’ve received as gifts. His books have a lot of practical information and recommendations for saving money and avoiding crowds.
Universal Yums
Last year, my family received a subscription gift to Universal Yums. Each box focused on one country and contained drinks and snacks. Every member of my family was enamored with those boxes!
Southwest Airlines Gift Card
You can never go wrong with a gift card. For me, Southwest Airlines gift cards are very useful for regular trips and for positioning flights before international flights.
