From now until 11:59 p.m. EST on May 15th, 2023, Chase is offering a 25% transfer bonus to Air France Flying Blue program. This is a fabulous deal if you see flights you want to book on Air France right now.
I’ve been looking for return flights from Europe next year. I saw flights in Economy on Air France for 19,500 miles each during March 2024. With this promo, if you transfer your Chase points, each flight would only cost 15,600 points. That’s quite a deal for flights from Europe!!
However, I don’t recommend transferring points speculatively for a future redemption. Unfortunately, like most airlines, Air France award flights have variable pricing. While the flights I see are 19,500 miles right now, for another date they can price much higher. Or even the same date can re-price higher. I was hoping to book Premium Economy flights for around 32,000 miles, which I’ve seen in the past. However, the dates I needed were higher at 57,000 miles.
