Today, Disney Cruise Line revealed a new homeport for the cruise line. The new Global Dream Project ship will homeport in Singapore starting in 2025. The ship will sail out of Singapore for at least 5 years.
I wrote about DCL’s acquisition of the Global Dream ship last fall. This 208,000-ton ship was already 75% complete when Disney acquired it. The DCL ship has yet to be re-named. Features of the ship include:
- ~6000 passengers
- 2300 crew members
- theme park and water park on board
- largest roller coaster at sea
- largest cinema at sea (8 cinemas!)

I’m very intrigued by this announcement. I’ve been wanting to visit the Disney Parks in Hong Kong and Shanghai, and I’m curious if this ship will include itineraries that allow for this.
Who is excited for DCL to homeport in Singapore?
