My Latest Credit Card Approval with 70k Bonus Miles

August 5, 2022 By Nancy Leave a Comment

I keep saying this, but it’s true: The best way to earn miles and points for free travel is through credit card sign-up bonuses. Getting even 2-3 new credit card bonuses a year will bring in many more points than monthly spending on an existing travel credit card.

I don’t just say this, I do this. Here is my latest credit card approval.

Bank of America Alaska Airlines Business Credit Card

The Alaska Airlines Business Credit Card (non-affiliate link) currently has a bonus of 70,000 miles after spending $4000 in the first 90 days. This credit card is for small businesses, including sole proprietorships. Even if you have a small side business, you may qualify for a business credit card. See this post.

Card features:

  • Companion fare of $121 for any flight booked on Alaska Airlines
  • Free checked bags for you and six companions
  • 3X miles on Alaska Airlines purchases, 1X miles on all other purchases
  • 20% back on Alaska Airlines inflight purchases

Before you write off this card because you’re not planning to fly to Alaska, wait a minute. Alaska Airlines has 26 airline partners. Last year, I used Alaska miles to book a flight on British Airways from Switzerland to Dallas.

What Are my Plans for these Miles?

I’m actually not sure how I will use these miles, but I know I will be able to use them. I already have my family’s trip to Europe booked for next summer on miles. However, I have several domestic trips over the next year that I still need to book on miles. I might use these Alaska miles to book flights on American Airlines.

I’m also thinking about a trip to Asia in the next few years. I’m just in the dreaming phase right now. But, these miles will definitely help!
