Yesterday, Hyatt revealed that six of its acquired Apple Leisure Group all-inclusive resorts are now available to book on Hyatt.com.
The new resorts, all located in the Cancun area, include:
- Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort
- Secrets The Vine Cancun
- Dreams Natura Resort & Spa
- Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa
- Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort
- Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya
In addition, 52 more resorts will be available to book on May 9, 2022. In total, 100 new resorts and 7 new brands will be added to the Hyatt portfolio.
All-inclusive resorts now have a separate award chart. Award redemptions range from 12,000 to 58,000 points per night, depending on the resort and the season.
What This Means For Miles and Points Enthusiasts
This is great news for us hobbyists and Hyatt fans! While Hyatt has the smallest footprint of the major hotel chains, it continues to grow with new construction and brand acquisitions.
With the 7 new brands, World of Hyatt members will have more options to earn the Brand Explorer free night (one free night for every five brands visited). We also have a lot more all-inclusive options in addition to the existing Ziva and Zilara brands. More choices is always a good thing.
My family stayed at the Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa (Formerly NOW Amber Resort) in Puerto Vallarta. See my trip report here. The view there is gorgeous! I would not mind returning there. I’ve also got my eye on Dreams Natura Resort and Spa. The water park and Rollgider aerial ride look amazing!
Are you planning to book any of these all-inclusive resorts?

Do you know which are only 12k points? That sound low for all-inclusive!
Nancy says
@Lynn Only the 6 Cancun properties are visible right now, so I’m not sure where those lowest tier award resorts are located. There are 2 Dreams resorts in Cancun that are the second lowest award tier at 17k during off-peak. Maybe Puerto Vallarta will be lower, but we may have to wait and see.

The proposition of booking an all inclusive for two with points can be a great deal. We have a family of four with two kids under the age of 10. Adding two people to the same room would double the points cost! Kids don’t eat that much and, if you’re being a good parent, don’t drink much either! At the very least, families with even numbers can book multiple rooms for the same point cost…..if they have adjoining rooms. Though having the kids across the resort in another room would be more relaxing vacation.
Nancy says
@Brian My recommendation is to book two people on points and call the resort to find out the additional cash rate for the 3rd and 4th occupants. It might work out better that way (especially if they are 12 or under).
