I’m in the midst of trying to plan my family’s summer schedule. We have two big trips mixed in with some camps for the kids. Since we had such a great staycation last year at the Hyatt Regency Dallas, I decided to book another night for this summer. Fortunately, we are somewhat flexible with our dates for this repeat staycation, so I can use the Hyatt Points Calendar to get the lowest rate.
Using the Hyatt Points Calendar
This new feature was just added in the last year. Once you go into a hotel with a specific date, you can click on the points calendar:
From the calendar, I can see all the dates by month when the hotel is in off-peak pricing and peak pricing.
In this case, the first week of June and a few weekends this summer have the 9000 points off-peak pricing. So since my dates are flexible, I may as well choose an off-peak time.
Even the suites are off-peak pricing on those calendar dates. For example, I could book a 1030 sq. ft. suite for 18,000 points.
One thing this calendar does not show, however, is if there is award availability on any of these dates. For that, I have to click on each date to check availability.
I don’t always have this much flexibility with my trips. But when I do, I appreciate this feature on Hyatt’s website.
Have you been able to find good off-peak award nights with Hyatt?

Guess you single handedly declared the plandemic is over. Great to hear.
Christian says
As you said, great option but it’s frustrating that the calendar doesn’t correlate with availability.
Nancy says
Yes, I wish it did, but I’m still happy with it overall.

This calendar helps a lot. Also Hyatt has a great bonus points promotion and I was able get a good deal for Spring Break in Salt Lake City.

That’s great news, Tania!
