Easy 1000 Southwest Points for Using TurboTax

January 24, 2022 By Nancy 3 Comments

See our Advertiser Disclosure and Editorial Note here.

There are a plethora of ways to earn miles and points outside of actually traveling. One of the easiest ways is to use a shopping portal when you file your taxes with TurboTax.

Southwest Airlines has the most generous offer–1000 Southwest Rapid Rewards points for using TurboTax when you file by April 19, 2022. See the link here, or sign into your Southwest account to access the shopping portal. If Southwest isn’t your airline of choice, you can also get bonus points through United and AA shopping portals (although the bonuses are lower).

I’ve been using TurboTax for years and getting 1000 points each year. I think TurboTax is a super easy way to do taxes. If you’re already using it, why not get some miles?

I never do my taxes in one sitting. Usually, I start with some inputs and finish as the necessary tax forms are available. To get the points, I just make sure I’m signed in through the Southwest link before I finish and submit my taxes.

So easy!

Hi Nancy, Cruise question for you. We booked a cruise on Allure out of Galveston next year, what kind of drive is it from DFW in a rental?or from IAH? Say hi to Leana, Kristen Stewart lookalike.

@Scarlett I recommend flying into Houston instead of Dallas. Traffic from DFW to Galveston can be tough. On a good day that would take 5 hours, but with Houston traffic you could easily add an hour onto that.
