Black Friday/Cyber Monday Cruise Line Deals

Many cruise lines are jumping on the Black Friday/Cyber Monday bandwagon. Let’s take a look at their offerings:

Royal Caribbean: The offer is up to $550 in instant savings plus 30% off all guests. The sale changes names throughout the week, but it’s available through November 30, 2021. If you aren’t a Crown & Anchor Society member, you have to wait until Black Friday for the deal. Royal also has a Cruise Planner sale through December 1, 2021 with up to 50% off drink packages and discounts on shore excursions, internet and dining. Note that Royal Caribbean just announced that it canceled its previously-announced Black Friday free cruse giveaway.

Carnival Cruise Line: Carnival’s “Unwrap Fun” sale runs through November 28, 2021 and includes 40% off cruise rates and reduced deposits starting at $50 per person. The promo applies on sailings through April 2024.

Holland America: HAL is offering $99 deposits and its “Have It All” package including free shore excursions, drinks, specialty dining, gratuities and WI-FI. This deal is available on cruises 6+ days in length and runs through November 30, 2021.

Princess Cruises: Get 50% off deposits plus up to $200 in onboard credits per stateroom. Sale runs through midnight PST on November 30, 2021 and is valid on cruises departing March 1, 2022 and later.

Norwegian Cruise Line: NCL’s “Greatest Deal Ever” continues through November 26 on sailings through 2024. The deal includes 70% off second passenger plus Free at Sea perks and a $250 credit toward a future cruise. I recently wrote about how I’m not very impressed with this promotion.

Celebrity Cruises: Celebrity is offering 50% off second guest plus up to $300 stateroom credit on select 2021-2022 Caribbean and European sailings. The sale expires November 20, 2021.

MSC Cruises: Get a balcony stateroom for the price of an ocean view room. Plus, Kids Sail Free. Cruises start at $129 per person.

Should You Jump on These Black Friday/Cyber Monday Cruise Line Deals?

In my opinion, these deals all involve funny math. Aside from reduced deposits, cruise lines run similar sales year-round with different names. Usually, the difference in price is negligible. I always recommend booking a cruise as early as possible to get the best price. Most cruise lines will let you re-price if the cost goes down in the future.

However, if you are already booked on a Royal Caribbean cruise, I do recommend you check out the Cruise Planner sale. In the past, cruisers have booked dining and drinks at the lowest prices of the year.
