Amazing Iceland, Carnival Mardi Gras Debuts and More

News from around the web:

Amazing Sights Driving Around Iceland’s Famous Golden Circle: The folks at Your Mileage May Vary recently traveled to Iceland. Check out this post about the sights in Iceland’s Golden Circle. This is why we collect the miles and points!

Air Canada Aeroplan Joins Chase Ultimate Rewards + 10k Extra Bonus: Big news this week–Aeroplan is now a 1:1 instant transfer partner with Chase Ultimate Rewards. See this post for more info about Aeroplan. It’s always good to have more options! I transferred Amex Membership Rewards points to Aeroplan a few years ago to book a United flight back from New Zealand. In the future, Chase will offer an Aeroplan co-branded credit card. If you RSVP in advance, you can get an extra 10k bonus when the card launches (see this post from View From the Wing). I signed up for the waitlist to potentially get the extra 10k miles. Since my family plans to travel to Europe over the next 2 years, I need multiple miles and point sources.

Alaska Airlines 67k Bonus Offer: Alaska Airlines cards have slightly higher bonus offers available. My husband got the personal card when it was at 65k, but now you can get 67k miles. $8000 in spending is required. See this post on Frequent Miler.

Carnival Mardi Gras Makes its Debut: This brand new ship just started sailing with vaccinated passengers. It has a roller coaster on board! See this review on TPG.

[…] I mentioned that Chase would soon be offering a new Air Canada Aeroplan credit card. At the time, if you RSVPd for a launch notice, you would get an extra 10k bonus miles with the offer. I signed up on the link, and yesterday I […]
