Travel news from around the web:
Masks are Back at Disney Parks: As of today, face masks are now required indoors again at Disney World and Disneyland. See this post from TPG. When my family visited Disney World in late May, masks were still required. Disney followed the CDC recommendations to allow vaccinated to be maskless indoors shortly after my visit. Now, the parks are again following the advice of the CDC and requiring all guests to wear masks indoors.
Lufthansa Sleeper’s Row: From One Mile at a Time, Lufthansa announced the addition of a “Sleeper’s row” on long-haul flights. Qantas offers something similar on its flight from DFW to Sydney. Unfortunately, it can’t be reserved too far in advance, so it’s a gamble if it will be available.
The 5 Most Comfortable Airlines for Flying Economy: This article details the most comfortable economy seats. I haven’t flown on JetBlue or Emirates yet, but those pitch and seat width numbers look good.
Redeem Alaska Miles on Qatar Airways: Also from One Mile at a Time, you can now use your Alaska miles on Qatar. Unfortunately, the rollout of other Star Alliance partners is delayed.
Royal Caribbean Requires Negative Covid Test for All on Longer Cruises: Royal Caribbean just announced that all guests, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to show proof of a negative Covid test prior to boarding for cruise more than 4 nights in length. Previously, only unvaccinated guests had to show negative test results. See this post on Royal Caribbean Blog.
