Disney Cruise Line Announces Atrium Character Statue for the Disney Wish

Today, Disney Parks Blog posted a video that unveils the atrium character statue for the new Disney Wish ship:

It’s Cinderella!

I’m honestly a little surprised that it’s not Goofy or Pluto, as they were the rumored frontrunners. The current atrium character statues on existing ships are:

Disney Magic–Mickey Mouse

Disney Wonder–Ariel

Disney Dream–Donald

Disney Fantasy–Minnie Mouse

The atrium character statues on-board are kind of a big deal. They are the hub of the cruise ship and the location of family photos and character greetings. My family collects the mini versions of these statues:

Disney Cruise Line

The Disney Wish begins sailing in Summer 2022. So far, very little has been revealed about the design and features of this new ship. I’m excited to learn more about the Disney Wish as we get closer to its launch date.

Are you happy that Cinderella will have a prominent roll on the new Disney Wish ship on Disney Cruise Line? Or, do you wish DCL chose a different character?

Hi Do you know the name of the painting or which ship it was purchased on? I would love to purchase one like it.

@Christopher Unfortunately, when we bought it, the art gallery told us it was being discontinued.
