Big news today–Chase increased the bonus on the Chase Sapphire Preferred card!
The bonus is now 80,000 points after spending $4000 in the first three months. The previous bonus was 60,000 points. Annual fee is $95. Update: Offer ends November 8, 2020
This card’s bonus is now worth $1000 in travel through the Chase travel portal. You can also transfer points to airline and hotel partners, like United, Southwest and Hyatt. Or, currently you can use the bonus to pay yourself back on grocery, dining and home improvement purchases through a statement credit.
Other card benefits:
–2X points on travel and dining out
–5X points on Lyft rides through March 2022
–One year of DashPass from DoorDash ($0 delivery fee from select restaurants for orders over $12). My family uses this benefit a lot since the quarantine.
You cannot get the bonus on this card if you’re received a bonus on this or the Chase Sapphire Reserve card within the past 48 months. Chase has a 5/24 rule, so if you’ve opened more than 4 credit cards in the past 24 months you will not be approved for the card. Miles for Family does receive a commission on this card.
I wish I could pounce on this offer, but I’m not quite at 48 months since my last bonus. Oy! It’s been a little while since I’ve been this excited about a credit card offer.

P2 would be all over this, but has two more months before dropping under 5/24, along with 48 months since her last Sapphire bonus.
Hopefully this offer sticks around through the end of the year.

I hope the offer stays around for a while!
