Cruises Likely to be Canceled into July: Yesterday, the CDC extended its “no-sail” order for cruise ships. The extension is for 100 days unless the U.S. government deems the coronavirus is no longer a public threat. That puts the no-sail mandate into mid-July. The CDC is also demanding that cruise lines come up with a plan to “prevent, mitigate and respond” to coronavirus outbreaks on ships. See this post on TPG for all the details.
As an avid cruiser myself, I am glad that the CDC is demanding that cruise ships come up with a plan. I am not comfortable cruising in the immediate future unless some changes are made on board cruise ships, as I mentioned in a previous post.
