Amex Offering Customers More Time to Meet Minimum Spending: Kudos to American Express. Amex just notified customers who applied for a new credit card between December 1, 2019 and May 31, 2020 that they have an extra 3 months to complete the minimum spending required to trigger the welcome bonus. Spirit Airlines Cutting 90% of Flights: According to Seth Miller, Spirit Airlines has cut 90% of its flights. This would make the airline out of compliance to receive federal coronavirus aid. I currently have a summer flight on Spirit. I checked on it, and it appears my flight was canceled and I was moved to a much earlier flight (9 hours early). Because of the significant time change, I’m requesting a flight refund (not a cancellation with a voucher). I’m worried this airline won’t be around in a few months.
