Two Carnival Cruise Ships Collide in Cozumel

December 20, 2019 By Nancy 3 Comments

I don’t normally post these sensationalist stories, but I know some of you are counting down the time you can leave work today and start your holiday.

This morning, two Carnival ships collided in Cozumel. The Carnival Glory hit the Carnival Legend and came pretty close to hitting Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas. It’s a windy day in Cozumel, but this ship seemed way off course. So far, only one minor injury has been reported.

See this news article that contains video from social media (warning–some with foul language): Two Carnival Cruise Ships Collide in Cozumel.

Before we board our cruises, my daughter always asks me if any cruise ships have crashed. I always tell her, “Not since the Titanic” just to ease her mind. Hopefully she doesn’t see these videos.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Passenger: “Captain, do these boats sink occasionally?”
    Captain: Nope. Just once.”

Fake News – The headline should read “Carnival Glory Expands Passenger Dining Options to Include the Carnival Legend Dining Room.”
