Babies on Seat Map, Hyatt Partners with Cruise Line, Why Miles and Points Really Matter

September 27, 2019 By Nancy 2 Comments

Japan Airlines Add Babies to Seat Maps: Japan Airlines has a new feature on its online seat maps. It now shows a baby icon in seats where children under age 2 are sitting. I think this is a nice feature. When I picked my family’s seats from DFW to Sydney, I avoided the rows near the baby bassinettes. Not everyone is in favor of these new baby indicators, though. Check out this post from Renes Points.

Southwest Extends Flight Schedule: ICYMI on our Facebook page, Southwest extended flight schedules through April 13, 2020 yesterday and added a few routes. See this post on Miles to Memories for all the details.

Marriott Bonvoy Boundless 100k Offer: The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card from Chase has an increased bonus of 100k points after spending $5000 in the first three months. The previous bonus was 75k. The annual fee of $95 is not waived. The card gives you an anniversary night each year valid at hotels up to 35,000 points. Keep in mind that this card is subject to Chase’s 5/24 rules and you can’t get this card if you’ve had a personal Marriott/SPG card before. This card is in our affiliate network.

Amex Adds Travel Coverage to Premium Cards:  This post on One Mile at a Time has all the details. Interesting that Amex added this just days after Citi took the benefits away.

Hyatt Partners with Cruise Line: See this post on Travel Codex about Hyatt’s new partnership with Lindbald Expeditions. These cruises look awesome. I’m sure they will cost a crap-ton of World of Hyatt points.

Why Miles and Points Really Matter: This post by Dia on The Points Guy really spoke to me. I’m glad she’s booking the trip with her friend.

Have a great weekend!

I have had the SPG card from American Express in the past. Cancelled about 4 years ago. What do you think my chances are of getting the bonus from Chase for the Marriot Boundless card? Thank you for your assistance.

@Hilde Originally I was going to reply that you couldn’t get the bonus from Chase. However, I’ve seen a few recent charts that indicate you could get the bonus (as long as you’re not subject to 5/24). Check out these charts from Frequent Miler https://frequentmiler.boardingarea.com/marriott-bonvoy-complete-guide/#creditcards and TPG https://thepointsguy.com/guide/eligibility-chart-marriott-bonvoy-cards/
