More Airlines Flying to Paris, Amtrak Bonus Points, Virgin Atlantic Promotion Scam?

September 13, 2019 By Nancy Leave a Comment

New Discount Airlines Flying to Paris: Via God Save the Points, FrenchBee and Corsair both recently announced new flights from NYC to Paris. Both are expected to offer cheap fares on this route. Virgin Atlantic Bad Promotion, or Scam? I read an interesting post by Ryan S on Miles to Memories about his points not posting after completing a promotion through Airbnb. It seems to me that Virgin Atlantic Shops Away is trying to get away without ponying up the points. What do you think?

Amtrak Bonus Points for Booking Hotels and Rental Cars: Via TPG, Amtrak has a new promotion for bonus points on hotels and rental cars. Unfortunately, if you book through Amtrak, you won’t earn hotel points or have elite status perks. If you’re short on Amtrak points, this could be worth it.

Flying Business Class with Dad: This post from Lucky on One Mile at a Time cracked me up because I could have totally seen my dad doing the same thing if he had the opportunity to fly in business class.

Top Transfer Partners for Business Class to Europe: Ian wrote a post on Miles to Memories that details the top transfer partners for business class to Europe. Most of you know that I’m not in the market for business class right now, but maybe after the kids are grown and flown we will splurge.

Spirit Airlines Making Seat Changes: Via View From the Wing, Spirit is making changes to its seats. The middle seat will be the widest, and the Big Front Seats will get new seat covers. I’m in favor of all the changes, and I expect that my family will continue to fly on Spirit to Denver and Orlando.

Have a great weekend!
