United Miles No Longer Expire: United Airlines announced to MileagePlus members that frequent flyer miles will no longer expire. Previously, they expired after 18 months of no activity. I see this as positive news because I’m lazy and sometimes it’s a pain to keep points “alive.” Some people see this as negative news (see this post on Travel Codex). What do you think of this news?
Are Star Wars Land Coke Cans Banned by TSA?: This week, I’ve seen numerous reports that the TSA won’t allow the grenade-looking Coke product cans from Star Wars Land at Disney parks in carry-on or checked baggage. But, it seems like many people are able to bring them home as souvenirs after all. See this post. I want one!
IHG PointBreaks: On Monday, IHG posted its new PointBreaks list. We shared this on our Facebook page, but ICYMI here are the details on a map and table from Points With a Crew. Are you excited about any of these?
Chase BA Card Adds $200 Award Fee Credit: Chase recently announced a new award fee credit on its British Airways visa card. This is great news if your awards meet the criteria. See this post from Frequent Miler for all of the details. Does this new benefit make the BA visa card more attractive to you?
Rail Explorers in the Catskills: I enjoyed reading about MommaToGo’s adventures on the Rail Explorers in the Catskills. This looks similar to the Rail Cruising my family did in New Zealand, except you have to pedal.
A Laugh to Start the Weekend: Your Mileage May Vary has quickly become one of my favorite blogs. I LOL’d at this post that features a hilarious video advertisement for Hotel Inn.
Have a great weekend!
